Cheryl Stern is an award-winning musical theatre writer, lyricist, and Broadway veteran actress whose work spans Off-Broadway, regional theatre, schools, and universities. A proud recipient of the ASCAP Foundation – Jamie deRoy & Friends Award and the Jonathan Larson Award, Cheryl creates emotionally rich, story-driven musicals and solo performances that resonate with audiences of all ages.

Recent Work & Off-Broadway Highlights
Cheryl recently starred in and co-wrote the Off-Broadway production A Letter to Harvey Milk, bringing her signature blend of heart, humor, and humanity to the stage.
Her hit solo musical Shoes and Baggage (music by Tom Kochan), originally produced at the cell Theatre, has completed its second Off-Broadway run at Out of the Box Theatrics, continuing to captivate audiences with its deeply personal storytelling and musical depth.
Musicals, Lyrics & Educational Theatre
Cheryl created lyrics for the musical Nor’mal (book by Yvonne Adrian, music by Tom Kochan, Transport Group). The adaptation, now titled Pretty to the Bone, has found a vibrant life in schools and university theatre programs, making it a favorite for educational and youth-focused productions.
